Qualifications
In previous academic years, pupils in Y11 and Y14 achieved the following externally accredited qualifications that evidence the progress made by the end of Key Stage 4 and Post 16.
- AQA Entry Level English (Step up to English)
- AQA Entry Level Maths
- GCSE English, Maths, Physics , Fine Art (Woodchurch High School inclusion)
- GCSE Art and Craft Meadowside School
Accreditations
All areas of learning and progress are accredited using AQA Unit Award Scheme using a combination of pre written units and units written by Meadowside Staff to accredit specific learning.

Destinations
We Transition Plan using person centred approaches from Y9, reviewing this annually with the young person and their parents/carers, incorporating this with our Annual Report of progress within the curriculum and towards outcomes in their EHCP. This is supported by our inclusive Careers Programme that entitles every young person to a weekly lesson of Careers from Y7 – 14. We have options at Y10 to follow a Core Progression Pathway to support applications to Further Education to focus on life-long learning, or a Vocational Pathway to further explore the world of work, or we have a Life Skills option where we develop life and social skills. Young people and parents can pick and mix these pathways so they are personal to their planned end points. We are in a consortium of Special Schools who employ a work related learning coordinator, who enhances our information, advice and guidance, by attending Annual Reviews, coaching pupils in mock interviews/meetings, collapsing the timetable to offer a week long focus on a work sector, vetting work experience placements. All these planned learning opportunities are also complimented for young people aged 14-19 with a range of Options for Enrichment opportunities, including: Duke of Edinburgh, Swim, Dance, Health & Well-Being, Horse Riding, Horticulture, Outdoor Activities.
Our Family Support Worker supports young people and their families to explore post school provision and can support with the Application process. Once a place has been offered the Family Support Worker liaises with families and future placements and plans and supports young people with their bespoke Transition Plans.
